TricValve®

The TricValve® Transcatheter Bicaval Valves system consists of two biological valves made of bovine pericardium sewn onto a self-expanding nitinol stent.

Without disturbing the native tricuspid valve, it is used to treat patients with haemodynamically significant tricuspid regurgitation.

Like the placement of a stent, the two valves are implanted in the superior vena cava and then the inferior vena cava via the femoral vein.

This method makes the system particularly suitable for use in high-risk patients and patients for whom open surgery is not an option.
